Overview
Our client is seeking an Intermediate Commercial CSR to join their team in Markham. This role is ideal for a service-focused insurance professional who enjoys managing client relationships and supporting a portfolio of small to mid-sized commercial accounts.
The successful candidate will work closely with producers and account managers to provide day-to-day servicing, handle policy changes, assist with renewals, and ensure clients receive responsive and knowledgeable support.
Key Responsibilities
Client Service & Account Support
  • Provide day-to-day servicing for a portfolio of commercial SME clients.
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding coverage, policy changes, billing, and claims support.
  • Process endorsements, certificates of insurance, and policy documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in the brokerage management system.
Renewals & Marketing Support
  • Assist with the preparation of renewal documentation and policy reviews.
  • Support account managers and producers with marketing submissions to insurers.
  • Communicate with underwriters to obtain quotes, endorsements, and coverage confirmations.
Operational Responsibilities
  • Ensure all documentation meets RIBO and insurer compliance requirements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with insurers and internal teams.
  • Support overall client retention through proactive service and attention to detail.
Qualifications
  • RIBO license required
  • 2-4 years of commercial insurance experience preferred
  • Experience servicing SME commercial accounts
  • Strong knowledge of common commercial coverages including CGL and property
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Experience with brokerage management systems such as Applied EPIC, TAM, or Power Broker is an asset
Compensation & Work Environment
  • Salary $65,000 - $75,000, depending on experience
  • Hybrid work environment - 3 days in office in Markham
