Job Title: Commercial Insurance Producer

Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid options available)

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Commercial Insurance Producer to join our team in the Mississauga area. This role is ideal for candidates with existing commercial lines experience—or those looking to transition into commercial insurance with strong sales abilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing new business, cultivating long-term relationships, and providing tailored insurance solutions to clients.
This position offers a base salary of $40,000, along with negotiable commission terms based on experience and performance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prospect, source, and qualify new commercial insurance leads through networking, referrals, outbound outreach, and community engagement.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with business owners, industry partners, and centers of influence.
  • Conduct client needs assessments and present appropriate commercial insurance solutions including property, liability, auto, and specialty products.
  • Collaborate with underwriters and insurance markets to negotiate competitive terms and coverage options.
  • Develop and maintain a growing commercial book of business while meeting or exceeding production targets.
  • Manage the full sales lifecycle: lead generation, quoting, proposal development, binding, onboarding, and ongoing client servicing.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, performing policy reviews, and assisting with renewals and endorsements.
  • Maintain detailed records in the brokerage management system and adhere to compliance requirements.
  • Participate in marketing initiatives, networking events, and outreach strategies to expand brand presence and generate leads.
Qualifications
  • RIBO License (Required)
  • CIP or CRM designation (completed or in progress) is considered a strong asset
  • Experience in commercial insurance sales, account management, or business development preferred
  • Willing to consider candidates with or without an existing commercial book of business
  • Proven ability to source leads, prospect new business, and build strong client relationships
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and insurance BMS systems an asset
Compensation
  • Base Salary: $40,000
  • Commission: Negotiable commission structure, tailored to experience, production history, and whether the candidate brings a book of business
  • Additional incentives and performance-based bonuses are available
