Commercial Lines Account Manager
Location: Hybrid - 1-2 days in office
Salary: $75,000 - $80,000
License: RIBO Required

Overview
Our client is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join their team and manage a general small to mid-sized commercial book of business. This role focuses on providing exceptional client service, managing renewals, and supporting producers in delivering comprehensive risk solutions to business clients.
The successful candidate will work with a variety of SME commercial accounts, including industries such as retail, professional services, contractors, and hospitality, while collaborating closely with insurers and internal teams to ensure efficient policy servicing and strong client retention.

Key Responsibilities

Book Management
  • Manage and service a portfolio of small to mid-sized commercial accounts (SME).
  • Handle policy renewals, endorsements, and coverage changes.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through proactive service and regular communication.
  • Conduct coverage reviews and provide recommendations to ensure adequate protection.
Marketing & Carrier Relations
  • Market new business and renewal accounts to insurers when required.
  • Prepare submissions and negotiate with underwriters for competitive coverage and pricing.
  • Maintain relationships with key insurance carriers.
Client Service
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding coverage, claims, billing, and policy changes.
  • Ensure accurate policy documentation and timely processing of endorsements and certificates.
  • Support producers with client servicing and retention initiatives.
Operational Support
  • Maintain accurate records in the brokerage management system.
  • Ensure compliance with RIBO and insurer guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams including personal lines, benefits, and administrative support.
Qualifications
  • RIBO license required
  • 3-5 years commercial insurance experience preferred
  • Experience managing SME commercial accounts
  • Strong knowledge of commercial coverages including CGL, property, and package policies
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client and insurer relationships
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Experience with brokerage management systems such as EPIC, TAM, or Applied is an asset
Compensation & Work Environment
  • Salary $75,000 - $80,000, depending on experience
  • Hybrid work environment (1-2 days per week in office)
