Overview
We are working with a well-established brokerage in the Hamilton market that is looking to add a Commercial Lines Account Manager focused on Large Risk.
This role sits within a more complex segment of the business, supporting larger accounts across sectors such as Realty, Construction, and Manufacturing. It's a strong opportunity for someone who is technically sound and comfortable working alongside producers on more sophisticated placements and renewal strategies.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage and service a portfolio of mid-to-large commercial accounts
- Support renewal strategy, including participation in client and risk management discussions
- Review and analyze coverage structures, limits, and exposures
- Work with insurers on high-limit property placements and complex risks
- Assist in preparing submissions and negotiating terms with underwriters
- Review and interpret policy wordings, including manuscript forms where applicable
- Coordinate renewals, endorsements, and policy changes
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and internal stakeholders
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all documentation and files
- 7+ years of Commercial Lines experience
- Strong technical understanding of commercial coverages and policy structure
- Experience working with markets that write high-limit property risks
- Exposure to manuscript wording and complex policy structures
- Comfortable participating in risk management discussions and renewal strategy
- Experience handling accounts in:
- Realty
- Construction
- Manufacturing
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with producers and internal teams
- Salary starting at $85K+ (based on experience)
