Our client is looking for a licensed Immigration Consultant (RCIC) to join our team on a subcontract (independent contractor) basis. This is an in-office training in Vaughan, then hybrid 3-days in office.

Requirements:
  • Licensed RCIC in good standing.
  • Education: Immigration Consultant Certificate
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Immigration Consultant
  • Language: Able to speak both English and Ukrainian/Russian
  • Ability to process different immigration applications: EE, Temporary Resident applications, Family Sponsorship, H&C, PNP, LMIA, and Work Permit applications
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian immigration laws and regulations, along with the ability to stay up to date on changes. We do not expect you to know everything — that is not possible. However, you must possess a strong desire to grow, learn new immigration solutions, research case law, and continuously improve as a professional.
  • Demonstrates sound knowledge of eligibility requirements for permanent, temporary, and other immigration programs — or the ability to quickly develop expertise in these areas
  • Ability to think constructively, creatively, and outside the box to provide clients with all possible solutions. Every immigration case has a path — the key is strong research and strategic thinking
  • Strong ability to listen, show empathy, and connect with clients. The immigration journey can be stressful, and providing reassurance is critical
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Strong drafting and research skills (submission letters, affidavits, explanation letters, reconsideration requests, IRCC responses, etc.)
  • Ability to manage, support, and guide a team

Responsibilities:
  • Identify clients' immigration needs and guide them through their journey by providing solutions, simplifying processes, and delivering a smooth experience
  • Conduct thorough research on immigration policies, programs, legislation, and case law
  • Leverage government resources to ensure proper immigration strategies and processes are followed
  • Determine and adjust immigration strategies as needed throughout the case lifecycle
  • Provide consultations and professional advice tailored to each client's situation
  • Draft supporting arguments and legal documentation based on immigration policies and case law
  • Prepare and review immigration case packages, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
  • Track case timelines, deadlines, and compliance requirements (status, documents, expiry dates, etc.)
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining consistent communication via phone and email
  • Manage client expectations on timelines, outcomes, and escalations
  • Provide proactive updates on case status
  • Oversee team performance to ensure SLAs and KPIs are consistently met
  • Recommend and support process improvements
  • Provide functional leadership and support team development
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes and quality control standards
  • Participate in team meetings to share knowledge and collaborate on strategies
  • Train and coordinate team members to improve efficiency and consistency
  • Support team members and contribute to a collaborative environment
