Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a book of SME business clients, providing exceptional service, and ensuring their insurance needs are met. This is a hybrid role, with the flexibility to work remotely after completing an in-office training period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of SME commercial clients, handling renewals, endorsements, and policy changes.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and excellent customer service.
- Provide guidance and advice on risk management and insurance coverage options to clients.
- Liaise with underwriters and insurers to negotiate and secure coverage for clients.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with RIBO and company guidelines for all documentation and client files.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling additional insurance products to meet clients' evolving needs.
- Assist in the preparation of insurance proposals and quotes for new business.
- Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and changes in insurance regulations.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training programs offered by the company.
- RIBO license is required.
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience in Commercial Lines insurance, specifically in managing SME business accounts.
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, markets, and underwriting guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with BMS systems and insurance portals is an asset.
- Commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
